Summary

What the session covered

Sean Smith recaps a medtech commercialization event built around five panels and 23 speakers. He highlights a value-add committee panel showing how hospital systems evaluate devices on health and economic returns, and says the event covered the startup path from risk through commercialization. He recorded and parsed it, seeing potential for a book and for diagnostic tools based on the material. The conversation turns to marketing and diagnostics. Sean describes a website diagnostic skill; Jose Bohorquez ran it and had a bot rewrite copy to improve the score. Sean compares their results with Analytics and says Analytics scored higher. Sean also explains why he declined a prospect who wanted webinars-for-hire rather than collaboration, discusses a MedSec product launch, and outlines ClareMed content and diagnostic ideas tied to human factors and cybersecurity. Jose shows a LinkedIn outreach tracker that flags funding triggers, sends connection requests, and drafts messages, plus automated messages about RAPS. He and Sean discuss following up with webinar attendees and no-shows, a podcast aimed at entrepreneurs and investors, and automating webinar production. Sean mentions consolidating brands under MedTech Leading Voice and targeting 10 new members a month; Jose recommends GrokBot agents and a Cursor Team setup.

Sean Smith

Just some… That was obnoxious. That voice? That's gotta go. So the meeting, yeah, they're… It was… it was amazing.

00:15
Jose Bohorquez

Yeah?

00:17
Sean Smith

Yeah, so the five panels… the first panel started with risk, the second panel… I don't remember what it was, it was, like. something else, some… and then they went all the way through, like, commercialization, like… They, in, in, like, with 23 speakers, some of whom were just excellent. Like, they had a guy who just left being head of CMS, reimbursement, yeah, and he started his own consulting thing, no doubt, because you're president. But whatever. The, you know, part of the exodus, from the federal government, has split a lot of those,

01:04
Sean Smith

CMS and FDA people in, In the private sector. So, there he is, but… Like, there was this, value-add committee panel, Fucking blew my mind. I was just like… I had no idea these value-add committees existed for the hospital systems and what they put every device through in terms of health and economic returns and, you know, like, I mean, they put these devices through the paces before they're like, oh, we're gonna adopt your device. We're gonna use your device. I had no idea this was happening.

01:51
Sean Smith

Did you?

01:53
Jose Bohorquez

I, I vaguely have heard of it, you know, I know, what's her buddy's name? What's his name? I think he's in, like, Utah or something. You know what I'm talking about? Wasn't it? Yay!

02:07
Sean Smith

The Mormon that Joe liked to peck on.

02:08
Jose Bohorquez

Yeah, the LDS, who I like a lot.

02:12
Sean Smith

So do I.

02:13
Jose Bohorquez

Yeah, You know, I've heard him talk about it, but… and I, you know, obviously, we get clients and they talk about it and stuff, but I've never studied it carefully.

02:22
Sean Smith

Well, okay, so, here's what happened. So, you have 5 panels. they cover everything from soup to nuts, basically, that a startup needs to know. Like, it was a commercialization course unlike any I've ever had, and I recorded the whole thing, and I basically broke the whole thing down, and the whole thing is, like, parsed, and, like, you know, sectioned, and could write a book from Like, just take that, and be like, okay, Claude, write a book. Right. Because there's 23 experts in the book. I'm gonna talk to, project MedTech about that, and just be like, you have a book.

03:08
Sean Smith

You have a book for startups. Right here. Done. like… But the thing is, like… So… I've been doing this thing, like, I don't know if you saw, you didn't run this skill, the website diagnostic skill.

03:26
Jose Bohorquez

I did.

03:27
Sean Smith

He did. What do you think?

03:31
Jose Bohorquez

So it's funny, I ran the skill, and then I even had my bot build… Like, an updated website, intended to… Optimize the copy to… Kind of get a higher score on the skill.

03:47
Sean Smith

Yeah.

03:48
Jose Bohorquez

And, you know, first pass… I was doing this, like, on my phone, like, on the weekend or whatever. I wasn't crazy about what it came up with, it just… the copy just wasn't as good as I'd like. And I haven't read the skill, all I did was ran it, so I don't know what to say. I mean…

04:07
Sean Smith

So, the skill basically asks, are you getting the weeds that you want, and are they converting? And it just analyzes the whole conversion pathway, and the journey, and the buyer experience, and do they see themselves mirrored in your thing? Analytics got a higher score than you did. You should run it against theirs, and you should see what they're doing. That's one of the things that I wanted to talk to you about. Second, I have to, you know, write to him this evening and, you know, let him down, and be like… but, Basically, he's a dick, you know? And… He's a doctor, and he has an MBA, and he just knows everything, and…

04:55
Sean Smith

I just have to say that I… dislike him.

05:01
Jose Bohorquez

Hmm.

05:01
Sean Smith

I, I don't want to work with him. I worked with him before, and he was just, you know, like… when… when… when I worked in the private sector, because marketing is always outside the core business. You get treated like the help a lot. And, you know, I don't like being treated like the help, because, you know, I got an ego, right? Just like everybody else does. And nobody… you know, wants to be treated like help when they have two master's degrees, and know more than you do about marketing, right? Like, like, you know, one hand tied behind my back, I could whoop him. You know, and he's just like, yeah, well, we're just gonna do this, and we're just gonna, you know, write a script that does this, and da-da-da-da-da-da. And it's just like, okay. So, two years later, he's back, knocking on the door. So, we just want to pay you to do webinars that we just show up at.

06:04
Sean Smith

You know, once a month. And you do everything else. Right? And I'm like, that's not really how I work. That's not… that's… that's not what this is. This… this is not that. Like, if you don't want my help. planning your webinar, figuring out who should speak, what the topic should be, how it's gonna land… I'm not… I'm not, like, you know, webinars for hire. I'm not, like, you know, you just give reps $5,000, and you got your rep… your webinar, you know? talk to a sales rep, right? Like, this is… Either we're gonna collaborate, because it's my audience, so I'm gonna put you in front of my audience once a month.

06:51
Sean Smith

How long do you think it's going to be before he says to me, well, we're just getting the same leads over and over again, and the number's going down and not up? Well, I wonder why. Because you're boring. Right? A, A, you are boring, and B… you're arrogant. You know? And… So, it's like, it'd be possible to build a program where you're doing a webinar every month. But you really need… you can't have it be the same person show up every month. That's… that's a different thing, right? Like, you really need to get… Notified bodies, and outside experts, and…

07:38
Sean Smith

People from industry, and you need to show that you're connected. Right? You need to show that you have influence, you need to show that you're one of the pretty people, right? And that means you're surrounded by pretty people, right? And that's what creates the… the energy. It's not just, I'm gonna show up, and I'm gonna tell you a thing that I know, and you're gonna listen, and you're gonna take notes, and you're gonna go back to your desk, and you're gonna be better for it. Right? And so… He's not open to hearing any of that. And so that's not a collaboration of any kind. And so, I view it as, okay, so I'm gonna…

08:27
Sean Smith

hemorrhage names from my list every month, every time I send out another one of your emails. You know? And the other thing is… So I just signed a contract with MedSec to help them launch a new product, which does not compete with you in any way whatsoever. It is a totally different thing. And, in… Like, I can't talk about it, but you'll know soon enough. Right. And you'll see what they're building, and I don't know if it's gonna work. Because it's new, right? Doesn't currently exist. And,

09:13
Sean Smith

And in vague terms, it's essentially a two-sided marketplace, which is… A really deadly proposition. From… from a marketing perspective, because it requires marketing on two sides. Essentially, two completely different products that then the audience needs to come together and agree is a good idea. Right? It's hard enough to sell to one buyer. Right? So, at any rate, I've… I've agreed to… Launched… helped them launch this thing. I'm like, well, you know, either it'll work or it won't, you know, and But analytics, you know, it's just like…

10:01
Sean Smith

I don't even want to help them.

10:04
Jose Bohorquez

Dope, man.

10:05
Sean Smith

You know?

10:07
Jose Bohorquez

Are you doing a deal with, with Matrix at all? Are they talking about it, or just… I know they're presenting on Friday, right?

10:13
Sean Smith

Yeah, they're presenting tomorrow. I was gonna make you a speaker so you could invite people, but, I didn't see that. The, Yeah, I'm hoping that I'm gonna get a deal with them, and that's gonna make the, fact that I'm not getting a deal with analytics not matter. It's not… it's not gonna hurt at all. you know, I have… a number of… Deals that could close really soon. And… Would just make me completely forget about analytics.

10:58
Jose Bohorquez

Yeah.

10:59
Sean Smith

I don't I don't, like them. But, that's not to say that… so, what… I was just at ClareMed, and I basically mapped out a content calendar for them, partially based off of what I learned yesterday. because basically it's like, okay, if you want to work with startups, then you have to understand the startup mentality. So, the diagnostic tool that I built for myself, I'm basically saying Claramed needs a diagnostic tool that they can offer As a freemium, you know, or as a, you know, fill out this form and we'll run our diagnostic tool on your pitch deck, right?

11:49
Sean Smith

So, if they had a pitch deck. From the startup, they could run the diagnostic tool based on the, you know, 23 speakers. Right? From yesterday's event, and basically go through and be like, does it address this? Does it address this? Does it address this? And just give them a written report that basically tells you strengths, weaknesses. opportunities, threats, but then tie it all back to human factors, right? Like, tie it all back to usability, because fundamentally. Usability… and training… and… Instructions for use, and intended use, and all that stuff, all the things that relate to usability of a product.

12:39
Sean Smith

are… Throughout the life cycle. Right? They're… they're not, like, a one-and-done kind of thing. But when they sell human factors validation. they're selling a one-and-done kind of thing, right? So, what I'm saying to you is, okay, if we take the same reasoning. And the same diagnostic thing. And then we create a diagnostic for cybersecurity that they're able to determine where You know, they're deficient. then it's a huge conversation starter, because what I did was I ran my diagnostic tool for a couple companies at…

13:26
Sean Smith

The event yesterday, and they're like, holy shit! You know, like… We're gonna talk, cause, yeah, we need help. So, that leads me to the next point, which is called MedTech Maxing. So, this is my new… I'm gonna do Thursday calls for the MLV members, right? And… Creating this whole content set around this, but basically. Everyone, every single vendor wants, what, one thing, more customers. And they don't know how to get them. So, basically, I have enough content from the last 150 conversations that I've had that are all recorded, that are all transcribed, to write 7 books, at least, on marketing, high-value, B2B contract

14:20
Sean Smith

sales, you know? Like, like… like, the stuff that I have… told all these people that I've talked to amounts to the same kind of insight that's in my diagnostic tool, but that's just for your website. I have as many opinions about every fucking thing else that there is about all the things you people are doing wrong to attract new customers. Right? And basically, I look at it and I go. Again, that's about you. Again, that's about you. Again, that's about, you know, you're selling… you're selling the system, so if you take, like, an EQMS, they're always like, in this pull-down, and you can do this, and it's like, nobody wants to see that.

15:07
Sean Smith

Nobody does! They want to know… what do they want to know when they buy an EQMS? They want to know that they're not going to get in trouble. Right? They want to know that they're going to have perfectly traceable documentation that is going to be smooth and easy to use, and all this stuff. That's the place where they want to get to. You know? Zero kappas. Right? But no one says, you know, zero kappas. Nobody says, you know, we're gonna… you know, help you. They say, oh, we got a great EQMS. And you should buy it. And we're wonderful, and don't you love us? So, my idea is, like, you know.

15:58
Sean Smith

if I, if I take these structures. Right? They're, they're like mental frameworks. and just turn them into diagnostic tools, and then I'm able to generate content Like… at volume. So, basically, 6 white papers for Clarimed. on, interventional cardiology, on neuromodulation, on, combination products. So it's like, now, take the same thing, and you're like. How do you do cybersecurity for… Class 3 implantable devices. How do you do cybersecurity for… you see what I mean? Like, it needs to be specific.

16:49
Sean Smith

category-driven, and… Like, we have a plan for you. And now, that's… Then the outreach is, hey, We've written a… Cybersecurity slash Cryptography white paper for implantable devices. Isn't that better?

17:21
Jose Bohorquez

Yeah, no, it's a good idea, I like that.

17:23
Sean Smith

So, what you need to figure out is which ones have the highest risk. Which categories have the highest risk? Which have the highest complexity? Which are the most profitable areas, right?

17:41
Jose Bohorquez

Profitable to whom?

17:43
Sean Smith

Oh, to the manufacturer.

17:46
Jose Bohorquez

Okay.

17:47
Sean Smith

So, for example, cardio… cardiology and ortho are the two biggest categories in medical devices, right? So… Orthopedic is pretty much, like, fix broken bones. You know? But… So I think there's less there, but, you know, everything's got a user interface now, everything has, like, all these, you know, they all have sort of a… An environment that they live in, which is surrounded by cybersecurity risks. It's the whole… it's the whole device setting. Right? It's not just the device. So, you know, the device might be nominally connected.

18:37
Sean Smith

But everything else that supports the device is connected.

18:43
Jose Bohorquez

Yup.

18:45
Sean Smith

So, anyway, I'm just thinking through, like, you know… what… So, here's the problem. So, in May, I got my Mac Mini, right? I turned it on, I plugged it in, and I have no idea what to do with it. Right. I got it connected, that took 2 days, you know, because I had bought the wrong keyboard. And They… they… Mac doesn't like other people's keyboards, so it kept overriding. It… with manual… Something. Some sort of voice command thing.

19:28
Jose Bohorquez

I feel bad about telling you this at this point, but it's just a function of how fast the world is moving. I'm, like, sunsetting my Mac Mini open claw. At this point.

19:40
Sean Smith

Yeah.

19:41
Jose Bohorquez

I, I really like GrogBot. So, and look, a month from now, I'm gonna really like something else, right? Because, again, it's just how fast the market is moving.

19:51
Sean Smith

Okay. Well, what I need you to think about is not you, but me. But I need you.

19:56
Jose Bohorquez

Well, that's exactly what I'm doing, I'm telling you this.

19:58
Sean Smith

I know, I know you are, but what I'm saying is that the things that I need to do, like, okay, so for me, producing a webinar has become, like, an 88-step process. Right. And… I just can't… I can't… I can't tell my team again, like, what those steps are, you know? Like, I have to get this to a level of automation where I'm able to just produce it, and they're just, like, deploying it. You know? Like, write all the emails, write all the copy, build the deck, do everything, you know. write the emails to the client that says, this is what you need to do now, this is what you need to do now, this is what you need to do now, like, there… I mean, like…

20:47
Sean Smith

It's… it's… it's… it's… it's hand-holding, it's… Herding cats, it's a lot of things. But then, like, the analysis is, like. 14 reports, all dumped in together, and I've got, like, this really, like. special way of trying to say, this is… this is what was being signaled on this call. These are the people who were there. But you see, the thing is, is that the people who weren't there are just as important, if not more important, than the people who were there. And so, how do you follow up with the people who didn't bother to show up? And what do you give them in order to bring them into a conversation?

21:28
Sean Smith

So I'm thinking through the whole thing, and then I'm analyzing the… The whole signal and saying, how could this webinar have been better? Right? And then taking that and building a diagnostic for before the fact, figuring out where the holes are in a webinar. So now you're taking it and you're saying. What's missing from this? webinar, right? So now you've got a tool where you can say. Is this gonna be a good webinar? You know? This is the story that we're gonna tell, this is the description, this is the speakers, this is, you know, the slides, these are the poll questions, this is, you know…

22:18
Sean Smith

is this gonna slap, or is this gonna suck? Right? And… So, what I'm doing is, I'm just trying to externalize my brain. And all of this… is… is based on, like, you know, all my different Claude projects. I do have skills. I have, like, 15 or 20 skills that I've written or acquired somehow. And… they're good. Like, my hook writer, skills. my article writing skills, my… do the fucking Sunday newsletter skills, and… They work.

23:11
Sean Smith

But… I have the feeling… That if you looked at them, He'd be like, oh. Sean. Why are you doing everything backwards? Like, why are you working so hard? And you would just be able to put them into something where it was, like, an agent. That's the part I haven't gotten to yet. I haven't really have not gotten to an agent that can do a multi-step thing. I just have to… you know, be like, okay, now write this report, then go and now do this diagnostic tool. Okay, great. The diagnostic is good, now write the email cover letter that goes with it.

24:00
Sean Smith

So that the person understands what it is that they're getting. Okay, now tell my team what the fuck they're supposed to do with all… I can barely keep up with the number of conversations that I'm having on a daily basis with people, and there's so much learning. That needs to be captured and codified and put into a system And it's like, as fast as the information is coming in, I'm, like, changing, right? Oh, now I got an idea. Oh, now I got another idea. So, like. I went to Claremont today, and I said, you need to treat your website like a Human Factors project.

24:49
Sean Smith

Right? And you need to treat the user experience like a user experience project. And you need to make this thing so that you're understanding the user needs. and intentions, and what they want, and all this stuff. And when I told it to their UX guy like that, he was, like, all over it. But he didn't want anything to do with me before that. You know, like, you gotta kind of put it into people's own language. At a certain point. Anyway, all this is to say. back to, now that you have more bandwidth, that you want to do more marketing, I would rather do a webinar with you every month than with shit for brains, but…

25:39
Sean Smith

I think that we need to think differently about What that looks like, and who it's for, so that we can get every interventional cardiology company on that call. Right? And then you're having conversations with people with real money. I don't know. That's my thought.

26:07
Jose Bohorquez

Yeah. Yeah, no, I think… I mean, that… I like that. I just built something kind of cool. I mean, I'm… you know my problem? I'm great at building tools, right? I'm great at that. I love that shit.

26:21
Sean Smith

Huh.

26:22
Jose Bohorquez

But I need a BDR, and it wasn't, you know, Robert wasn't the guy. I needed somebody who's, like, reaching out to 100 people a day. And I've got all the tools to do it, I just… I hate doing it. But… But I've got really good tools now to do it. So, like, I built this thing, it's my little outreach review tracker, you see it? So, I've had a thing running for months where it just sends connection requests to people, on LinkedIn. And it categorizes them as, like, an ASP or partner prospective client. I also took all the people on the webinar, and I… Added them on here, right?

27:04
Sean Smith

Huh.

27:06
Jose Bohorquez

I've been… I installed something on our website that shows me who's been on our website, but our traffic kind of sucks right now. I've been messing with our… Google Ads, and then I now put something in place to actually make Zapyrus helpful. This is actually kind of cool.

27:23
Sean Smith

Are you paying for Sapyrus?

27:25
Jose Bohorquez

Yeah. Only because I'm always too lazy to cancel stuff.

27:29
Sean Smith

Hmm.

27:30
Jose Bohorquez

bomb. But… It's kind of helpful in that Like, the way it works is it'll get a story, and it'll… Well, it's reaching out, first of all, to all the people. This is not correct. Why is this… Yeah, here it is. Okay, cool. I just have to refresh it. So yeah, it'll, it'll, like, find a… It'll pull the companies that come up with a trigger. And then it'll say, like, kind of why it came up, because of funding. This is a thing that happened… So,

28:16
Jose Bohorquez

They just got a funding round, that's what happened. And then it'll look at the top 4 people, and it'll tell me if we're connected or not connected. If we're not connected, it'll send them a connection request. And then, for people that I am connected with, if I just click their name. It brings them up like that. And if I click message… Look, Nellie's trying to get me to freaking meet with her new marketing girl. It's so annoying. All I do is hit CTRL-V, paste, right? It's already got his name, hiarsh. Congrats on the recent funding round, exciting stuff. I'll be rooting for Cardio Sense from way out here in Orlando.

28:57
Jose Bohorquez

So it… like, when I click on that link, it creates the message and puts it on my clipboard, so all I have to do is… Come and click paste. But that's funny. I don't think that's him. Is it? I don't know. See, that's the thing with these things, is like, oh yeah.

29:26
Sean Smith

It looks like yep.

29:27
Jose Bohorquez

It looks like him, yeah. So that's interesting. So anyway, building tools, you know…

29:36
Sean Smith

Okay, so… Why couldn't Robert manage that?

29:45
Jose Bohorquez

Why couldn't Robert manage that?

29:48
Sean Smith

I mean, cause that looks like…

29:51
Jose Bohorquez

He could probably manage this, right? But this is like… I mean, honestly, I can… if all I'm doing is this, I can automate this, except I hate automating messages. I'm doing it right now. I did set up an automation for messages. Right? Like, I'm sending… I think 40 or 50 people a message, just asking them if they're going to RAPS. Hey, Chandler, will you be at Raps Convergence next month? I'm giving a talk on cybersecurity, blah blah blah, if you're interested, I'd love to meet up in person, right? So I've got an automation right now that's sending this to, like, 40, 50 people a day. I'm trying not to push it too hard to not piss off LinkedIn. So stuff like that, I can automate.

30:26
Jose Bohorquez

The stuff.

30:27
Sean Smith

What's the response?

30:29
Jose Bohorquez

Huh?

30:30
Sean Smith

And what is the response that you're getting?

30:32
Jose Bohorquez

Well, I just kicked it off today. So far. you know, I've only gotten a couple responses, like, hi, Steve, and said, no, I will not be there, sorry. I'm like, okay. But I can follow up with this guy. I haven't followed up with this one in particular, because when I looked into him, he's, like, at a pharmaceutical company, so I was like, alright, that's not even relevant for us. But, like, Jamie, this one, we're having a conversation. Right? I sent her one, hey, great to connect, did I see correctly that you're supporting Athromeda, looks like a pretty cool product in my old neck of the woods. So she's responding, we're going back and forth. She's a consultant now, so we'll have a conversation, right?

31:11
Jose Bohorquez

So, that's fine. I'm doing a big push on these partner things. Who else has responded? You know, it's like everything else, you don't get a ton of responses. Paul's trying to get me to talk to him. I'm gonna talk to you, man. So yeah, and then the other thing I was doing… Was, yeah, like, on the webinars, the people that came to the webinar, like Marcia… I can… this one, I haven't done it the same way, but I can copy this… Click on Marsha. Message her.

31:54
Sean Smith

I love Marcia. She's so nice.

31:56
Jose Bohorquez

I haven't met her. She's true.

31:58
Sean Smith

really nice.

32:00
Jose Bohorquez

Yeah.

32:01
Sean Smith

Yeah, she's a little… she's a little bit… she's… she's a little bit, afraid of her own shadow.

32:08
Jose Bohorquez

Really?

32:09
Sean Smith

Like a lot of regulatory people.

32:10
Jose Bohorquez

Not coming up.

32:12
Sean Smith

But… Yeah, if.

32:21
Jose Bohorquez

So here, I can do Ctrl-V. Hey, Sayon, Sean Smith's FDA Cybersecurity, Power Hour. Because I would say… A few weeks ago… Thanks for joining, did you find it useful?

32:33
Sean Smith

Before you send that, Sid, he told me you're great.

32:40
Jose Bohorquez

By the way…

32:41
Sean Smith

Creo.

32:42
Jose Bohorquez

Sean.

32:43
Sean Smith

Says you're great.

32:45
Jose Bohorquez

Great.

32:48
Sean Smith

And we should meet.

32:52
Jose Bohorquez

What does she do? Is she a consultant, or…

32:54
Sean Smith

No, she works at Abbott.

33:03
Jose Bohorquez

Are you calling to RAP's convergence? By any chance.

33:10
Sean Smith

She's thinking about it. I asked her already, but, doesn't hurt to ask.

33:16
Jose Bohorquez

Yeah. So, and then I click this little M1 that says I've sent a message. Boom. And then she disappears, because I've got it filtered for… Only the people whom I haven't sent the message to. And then… but see, like, that's the thing, right? Like, the part that I can't trust Robert to do? is… like, when I come on here, and this is why I don't like automating some of these things, like, I can come on here and, like, quickly look at this person's profile. And then just see if there's something about it that we have in common that makes us stand out more.

33:50
Sean Smith

Right.

33:51
Jose Bohorquez

You know? Or, like, sometimes you gotta be so careful with automations, like, it'll send a message to somebody who I just talked to yesterday, hey, how's it going? I was like, what the hell, I just talked to you yesterday. So, you gotta have that judgment, so you need somebody who at least has That level of judgment,

34:07
Sean Smith

So the only thing I trust my team to do for me is to send blank connection requests to people. And because, you know, I have so many connections in common with so many people in med tech that almost everyone says yes to me. Like, I don't know, it's, like, well above 50%. Yes, correct. yes rate, right? So… and also, because who wouldn't connect with MedTech Leading Voice, the publisher? You know? Like, I mean, it's such a great… weigh in, you know? And I talked about this Ed… On the stage, I said, you know.

34:53
Sean Smith

if you go and you say, I'm a cybersecurity consultant, they're like, you know, like, like, no, right? So you need an alter ego. You need… you need, you know, the mustache, right? You need the, you need to become a master of disguises, and you need to be like. Oh, I'm just your friendly neighborhood You know, webinar guy. You know, I just wrote a white paper. I just did this, but you just… you're opening with. Them and giving them something that they want.

35:26
Jose Bohorquez

Yeah.

35:27
Sean Smith

And… and… and, you know, it just… it just makes it so much easier, but… you know, when I say to people, can I interview you? Like, maybe you need a show, you know, maybe you need a substack, maybe you need a vehicle for, you know, some sort of med tech cybersecurity… you know, extravaganza magazine that you just feature Cybersecurity leaders who work at the companies that you want to work with.

36:00
Jose Bohorquez

No, no, no, I mean, I see what you mean, and I think it's generally a good idea. But… Yeah, I just wouldn't be the cybersecurity people. I don't want to talk to cybersecurity people. I want to talk to regulatory people, and I want to talk to entrepreneurs. You know, I had actually… I purchased, shit, my wife's asking me if I'm coming home. Yes, soon. I purchased a URL, I think I called it, like, MedTech… Pipeline… Something like… That, like, with the idea of saying, like, we're gonna start, a podcast… We're interviewing entrepreneurs And the audience, the target audience is… Investors. Right.

36:47
Jose Bohorquez

So, it's trying to give… pipeline to… investors by showcasing entrepreneurs. Nothing novel about that, I'm sure there's other people doing it, right? But the idea being that, I mean, that's my target audience, is, entrepreneurs. And I've been a med tech entrepreneur, right? So I kind of got empathy toward that. And, you know, like you said, I mean, if I reach out to… 20 current med tech entrepreneurs, and go, hey, I run this podcast.

37:16
Sean Smith

Yeah, all 15 of the ones that pitched. Anybody that's pitching anywhere.

37:22
Jose Bohorquez

Yeah.

37:23
Sean Smith

Will come on your show.

37:25
Jose Bohorquez

Yeah, maybe that's what… I just invested in my nice camera, I put a background that's… I don't know, I like it. My wife said I look like, She didn't like it, but whatever. Yeah, so we can… we can do a podcast. I should do a podcast. It's just like, I've got so much shit, like, that I'm trying to do, and… But yeah, I think that would probably.

37:52
Sean Smith

The main thing is, is don't expect anybody to listen to the podcast, because this is not a podcast audience, so what you need to do is then you need to take that, and you need to make a little thing that says, so-and-so is on my podcast, knowing that nobody's gonna… you know, listen to the thing, and be like, and he said this, or she said that. Yeah. And what's cool is that they have this new breastfeeding device, you know, or whatever. that… But, yeah, I mean, it's… it's… And then they do the work for you. Then they're the ones posting that. So, really, the thing is, it's like, okay, then how do you find the people with the largest networks?

38:40
Sean Smith

You know, so that you're not getting somebody with, you know, A founder with 50… connections.

38:48
Jose Bohorquez

Well, but honestly, for me, at… That's secondary. To me, the primary thing is it gives me an excuse to build a relationship with an entrepreneur. And over the course of show prep, like, hey, that's really awesome, and tell me your story, and I tell them my quick story, and my quick story is that now I help companies with cybersecurity. And then they're like, do I even need to worry about that? Like, I played the scenario out in my mind, and it's like… You know, it's just a way to build relationship with more and more entrepreneurs who could potentially become clients, or make an introduction to a client.

39:20
Jose Bohorquez

I care about that more than, you know, how many people see the webinar.

39:25
Sean Smith

I'm hearing. So… The last thing is, you know, So I will work on that, what you just said, and be like, okay, here's my idea for your podcast, and this is what you should do, right? And this is how it should work from beginning to end, and this is how we should launch it. Right? But… The last thing is, I'm thinking about taking all of the brands that I've made, which are, like, way too many, and just putting the whole thing under MedTech Leading Voice, and then having MedTech Maxing, MLVX, MLV100, all that… it's like House of Brands, right?

40:15
Sean Smith

Instead of branded house. That's the other… So, then… doing a… Because one of the easiest things for me, in terms of revenue, would be if I could get 10 new members in MLBX a month, that'd be an extra $4,000 a month, which would, you know, put me outside the danger zone. Or at least, you know, give me a more comfortable margin on making payroll every week, because I, frankly, you know, like, I am not good with money, right? Like, I haven't been paid in 6 years. You know, and I'm sick of it. Right? And so, I'm, like, looking at ways that I'm gonna reverse that trend.

41:04
Sean Smith

you know, how much… like, I… like, I never even bothered to figure out, like, how much money I need to make every month. I'm just like, there's money in the bank, I'm spending it, right? And… So, my brother is all up in my business about that. He's got a whole spreadsheet that I have to fucking fill out, you know, and you know, when you ask for help, sometimes you get it. And so what I'm saying is… I need to figure out how… to put all this together, so I'm gonna run it by you and be like, okay, here's my idea. This is… because I'm not very objective about my own Stuff. Like, you know, I think it all smells great, and it doesn't.

41:52
Sean Smith

So, the thing is, is that I need… if… if… I'll look at your stuff, you'll look at my stuff. And… and just be honest. You know, just be like, meh. See what I mean?

42:10
Jose Bohorquez

Yep.

42:12
Sean Smith

But yeah, I mean, I can… I can take this recording and figure out everything from it.

42:18
Jose Bohorquez

Yeah. And I think on the Agentic side, I didn't show you that, but let me show you that real quick, and then I gotta run, because my wife's gonna kill me. If you decide you want to try Grokbot.

42:30
Sean Smith

Yeah.

42:30
Jose Bohorquez

Like, about it, so… So here's… first of all, here's… there's multiple ways of paying for it, and the way that I would recommend is you sign up for a cursor Team. So, cursor, you know, XAI purchased it. And, wait here, let me just go… So yeah, you buy… you get the teams. And then, you're gonna have to get, R.

43:17
Jose Bohorquez

Premium. Do you have to get premium? I think you… oh, actually, you don't even need premium. I pay for premium, because I always like to have a lot of tokens. But it looks like you can get… you get Grokpot even with just the regular standard, which is only 40 bucks a month.

43:32
Sean Smith

Okay.

43:33
Jose Bohorquez

So it's not that expensive. Okay, the nice thing about Grokbot, it's a lot like OpenClaw. In that it's… it's agents. It runs its own little computer. Right? In the cloud. And so it can do things, like a computer, and you can set it up, and all the agents can talk to each other, right? So you can set up, like, I've got an agent that's a chief of staff. I've got one for sales, I've got one for marketing, I've got an executive assistant, I've got one for delivery, I've got one for proposals, I've got one for software. And you do kind of have to train them, but they learn over time. So, like, on my… my proposals one.

44:09
Jose Bohorquez

you know, when… when I want to set up a proposal now, I just tell it, right? I'll go, hey, like, go set up a proposal, and here's the person, and here's how much money, and here's what it should have, or I can tell it, like… and you can connect it to everything. You can connect it to your Google Drive, you can connect it to your, you know, wherever you're taking notes, you can connect it to… Your email, right? And… Yeah, and then instead of telling humans what to do, you tell this thing what to do, and it's just better at remembering. It's not perfect, it's just like humans. It makes mistakes, it, you know, forgets things sometimes, it seems like…

44:42
Jose Bohorquez

But I do feel like it's… Pretty good. And it's a lot easier than… It's just a lot simpler to set up than OpenClaw.

44:54
Sean Smith

Okay.

44:55
Jose Bohorquez

Yeah. So…

44:57
Sean Smith

Great.

44:59
Jose Bohorquez

That's what I would recommend you do for the Agentic stuff.

45:02
Sean Smith

Okay, well, you go home before we both end up work.

45:05
Jose Bohorquez

Alright, friend. I'll talk to you later.

45:08
Sean Smith

Okay, bye.
